“Like all destinies, like all great adventures, I have gone to places I never imagined before I set out.” — BKS Iyengar
If you’ve ever been on a yoga retreat, you know that the experience of practicing yoga in a beautiful place with the support of like-minded people and plenty of time for rest and relaxation can refresh your outlook to create the conditions for breakthroughs in your practice, as well as your entire life. Vacations that combine the elements of a yoga retreat with outdoor activities local to the area like horseback riding, surfing, hot springs, and a sea turtle release are ideal when you want to up the exhilaration factor and tantalize your senses. One might think of it as a summer camp for grown-ups, but with yoga to inspire and heighten your personal awareness of every moment.
Seeing the world differently is about journey, a constant adventure. It’s about moving, growing and opening perspectives no matter what the level of your yoga experience is. Sharing the experience of exotic yoga retreats is the beginning of a new journey for me, one that I look forward to sharing with all of you.
Traveling to exotic locations combines the best of outer discovery and inner journey. When our everyday world is transformed, amazing things happen. The warm touch of sun, sand and sea revives us, the food we eat tastes better, our relationships with one another blossom and we rediscover the joy of being fully present and alive.
When we practice moving from one pose to another and find ourselves in a different place from where we started. Physically, mentally and emotionally we begin to feel even more at home, a home within ourselves.
Our yoga journey takes us inward and closer to who we really are, feeling more balanced, energized, nourished, cleansed and awake to new possibilities.
Below is a recap of the experiences we shared together as a group. If you would like to join us on the next adventure in Troncones, I encourage you to sign up for the Spring retreat as soon as possible as spaces are limited and will be reserved quickly.
Many thanks for your attention and a huge thank you to everyone who shared the experience with us.
